
County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper refuses to give us any useful statistics or actionable information about COVID-19 in Erie County. Down in Lubbock, Texas, they have a different way of doing things. They believe residents should have lots of data to help them make informed decisions.
The first image above show details of deaths due to the virus.

This second image shows cases. Notice the dramatically different age distribution, cases are across the age spectrum, but deaths are all in the upper age range. They also show how many are currently hospitalized.
Now look at the abbreviated slice of data in Erie County. The same information shown in the above images from Texas is available to county officials here and the public would benefit from knowing, so what’s the reason for all of the secrecy?
