It appears the recently introduced House Bill 768, the Firearm Registration Act, we reported on recently has attracted massive resistance from PA gun owners and voters as well as a huge number of legislators. According to the Tribune-Review, Pennsylvania legislators have been hearing from constituents in no uncertain terms that this bill should not be passed and even anti gun lobbying groups don’t support the extreme nature of what was proposed. In addition, Rep. Rob Kauffman, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee said the bill had no chance to move any further. It was also widely agreed that the bill, as proposed, was unconstitutional.
This is an excellent example of what happens when citizens see what their legislators are doing. Stay alert, get informed and be ready to let your representatives know what you think. It makes a difference.
