The current talking point justifying early bar closings and so much more is that students returning to schools and colleges this fall have led to a disturbing rise in the number of COVID-19 cases among young people. Hmm, sounds scary. You can just imagine all of those students who are deathly ill from the virus lying in hospital beds, … or are they?
Here’s an interesting chart that shows a whole lot of colleges, with approximately 26,000 total cases among the students and ZERO hospitalizations!

Why doesn’t the government tell you this?
If you knew that young people getting the virus rarely get sick, let alone go to the hospital and die, you might get the idea that the government was prolonging the crisis for reasons unrelated to health, … yep, you might get that idea.
Why don’t the local news media tell you this?
Our local news media do not do real reporting on COVID-19, they simply do what they’re told, whether by government officials or out of town business owners. They mindlessly repeat case numbers as though those numbers mean something. But you know better, don’t you?
End the emergency declaration in Pennsylvania, now. Open schools and businesses completely, now. Protect the vulnerable in nursing homes and long term care facilities. Let’s get back to work.
