Let’s be clear, the election is only over in the minds of those who want Joe Biden to win. It’s quite obvious, all of the major news media are strong supporters of the democratic ticket and, as a result, they are now using the term president-elect in front of his name. It’s simply not true.
Network news anchors and reporters have declared Joe Biden the winner after which the democrats declared victory based on what the media said! Then the media publicize the candidates’ victory speeches, so it must be true, in a classic case of mind boggling circular reasoning. It’s a brazen attempt to influence public opinion and an election.
A story today from CNN, posted on the Erie News Now website, is a stunning example of outright nonsense. The title begins with “The Election’s Over,” which is absolutely not true, it isn’t over until the court challenges are dealt with, the recounts are done and the final totals certified in each state.
The article continues:
Others are grieving the results publicly and privately, preparing for what could be a lengthy legal process lodged by President Donald Trump to delegitimize the election results.
Delegitimize? That is exactly the opposite of what the President is trying to do. He wants to ensure the legitimacy of the results so the American people can be sure their votes are counted and their voices heard.
This is why the media are constantly repeating the claim that Biden won. They want everyone to believe it’s already decided, so any attempt to verify the results is looked at with suspicion. Voter fraud? Impossible! Didn’t these same media claim for the last four years that Russians are interfering in our elections. It must be only republican wins that are suspect.
In a normal year (remember those?) with a normal election, the results would be far less in doubt, but this year with the introduction of a massive mail-in ballot campaign, last minute changes to state voting procedures, extended deadlines, software “glitches,” poll watchers barred from polling locations, discarded ballots, backdated ballots and so much more, it’s going to take some time to sort things out. The democrats and the media want the investigations and verifications to go away and President Trump is criticized for asking questions, but not only does he have the right to do so, there are over 70 million voters who want to be sure their vote was properly counted and that illegal and ineligible ballots were not. Democrats should want the same thing. Why the rush?
In the coming days and weeks, we’ll likely see a lot of eye opening revelations of how this election was conducted. Who will eventually be declared the winner? It’s far too early to say, but all of this premature, media driven “president-elect” nonsense doesn’t help.
